Your Dog’s Health
- Please inform Simply Pawsome before the groom of any existing medical conditions your dog may have, or of any recent illness
- If your dog appears unwell at the time of their appointment, they will not be accepted for grooming due to the risk of cross infection to other pets
- Simply Pawsome will not groom any dog that has had anaesthetic within the last 48 hours or has had a surgical procedure which requires stitches. The dog must be fully healed and recovered before a grooming appointment can take place
- It is recommended puppies wait until one week after their 2nd vaccination before attending a puppy groom.
- Bitches that are in whelp or nursing puppies will not be accepted for a groom
- If your pet is found to have fleas, there will be an additional charge of £10 to cover the cost of a specialist flea shampoo and a salon flea treatment.
- Please ensure that your dog has had a toilet break before attending their appointment for your dog’s comfort
- Simply Pawsome has the right to refuse any pet without reason
- Simply Pawsome has the right to cancel a groom if it would affect the dog’s welfare to continue or if there is a risk of injury to the groomer. If a groom has to be cancelled due to potential biting risk or injury, the groom will still be charged in full.
- Any dogs that show aggression during a groom may need to be muzzled. It is the owner’s responsibility to inform Simply Pawsome if they do not wish their dog to be muzzled. This may result in the groom not taking place
- Your dog may be photographed before, during or after its groom. Photographs may be used on social media or other printed materials. If you do not wish this to happen please let me know
- If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pets groom, please let us know within 3 days (preferably before you leave). Any reasonable request to alter the groom will be dealt with straight away or changes noted for the next groom.
- Client data will be treated in accordance with the data protection principles of the Data Protection Act and will remain completely confidential.
Late arrival and/or pickup
- Please arrive on time to enable the full groom time for your dog. If you arrive more than ten minutes late, it may not be possible to complete the groom due to time constraints and impacting on the next customer due in. You will still be required to pay in full for the missed grooming appointment.
- If you are more than ten minutes late collecting your dog, there will be a late collection charge of £5 applied.
Matting I practice humanity over vanity and put your dog’s well-being and comfort first. If your dog’s coat is matted then this is painful and uncomfortable for your dog, and the mats will need to be removed as painlessly as possible. This will involve clipping the mats out by shaving the coat very close to the skin and may mean that the entire coat needs to be clipped off. This isn’t pleasant for either the dog or the groomer, and also blunts the clipping blades, and will incur a £10 charge.
Appointments
- Please give as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment, and at least 48 hours.
- Late cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice) will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the missed appointment cost.
- Missed appointments with no communication prior to the appointment time will incur a missed appointment fee of 100% of the missed appointment cost. This will need to be paid in full before any further appointments can be booked.
Simply Pawsome has the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
