We offer a ‘Puppy Package’ to gradually introduce your puppy to the grooming process, so he or she feels comfortable and confident with the various sounds and sensations of the equipment and doesn’t get overwhelmed by it.

This is important as many dogs will require regular grooming sessions for the rest of their lives, and it is important to ensure that this is as enjoyable a process for them as it can be.
Our Puppy Package includes a total of four visits to the salon, and is at a cost of £95.

It is important to introduce your puppy to the grooming environment as soon as you can (from one week after their last vaccination injection) so that they get used to the different sights, scents and sounds of a grooming environment and don’t get overwhelmed by them all. If they start young, they can build up gradually so that their grooming experiences can be positive and happy and not stressful. You don’t want a puppys first visit to a grooming salon to be when their fur has become knotty or matted, and is painful and stressful for them!

Session 1

We start with a 15 minute ‘meet and greet’ visit, to meet me, explore the salon with all its exciting scents, have some treats and a little play.

Session 2

A 30 minute table introduction, where your puppy is introduced to all the equipment i.e. clippers, scissors etc, and has a gentle brush through of their coat.

Session 3

A 1 hour session for a gentle bath and dry, using a conditioning shampoo designed specifically for puppies. This can also include a light tidy of the face and feet if needed and if the puppy is comfortable with it.

Session 4

You can either book a repeat of session three, or a full groom depending on your dog and how happy he or she is with the grooming process up until this point.
